Tech4Learning works hard to ensure that Wixie’s AI implementations do not replace a students own content production and creativity, but serve to enhance productivity and their ability to effectively share their ideas and learning.
Wixie provides AI tools for teachers that can accelerate existing workflows without replacing the human control of content and learning.
Wixie provides generative AI tools to teachers to help accelerate development and differentiation of classroom assignments.
Teachers can quickly rewrite instructions to another grade level, create grade-specific vocabulary lists, add short stories for students to illustrate, create coloring book pages, and much more.
Teachers can create coloring books with generated images, and curriculum activity templates with images, content, and instructions.
Teachers can vibe-code apps in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude for Teachers and upload them to Wixie to assign to students.
Teachers can review all AI generated content before it is presented to students.
Wixie does not provide generative AI tools to students.
When students use voice dictation, machine language pulls from a range of data to produce actual English words (and Spanish words if your OS is set to Spanish). If a device is user-specific, dictation becomes even more accurate as the platform learns how the user speaks.
Wixie's animated, talking images support AI-powered lip-syncing to generate visemes from text or voice recordings.
When young learners search for images, Wixie uses advanced algorithms to determine the best response based both on actual typing as well as what the user’s input is likely to mean. For example, searching "jrfe" will return giraffe images.
Removing backgrounds from images is done using AI machine learning to identify human figures in images and turning the rest of the image transparent so that it can be placed over other images.
Wixie uses neural machine translation, to translate text, instructions, and entire projects from one language to another, providing users the opportunity to read information in their native language.
Some of our AI tools we build ourselves, some use third-party providers. Whenever third-party providers are used we only share anonymized identification tokens and never share any personally identifiable information.
There will likely be many more AI features in Wixie, but from our design and development perspective, they have to match the purpose of Wixie, which is to help young learners build and create as they learn to read, write, and build curriculum foundations.
