Students research a person from history, or a character in a book they are reading, and summarize their findings in the form of a trading card. Turn it into a card game by assigning points and powers and developing rules for playing cards against each other.
To help students better understand the perspectives of those in different times and cultures, have them develop newsletters that recall and retell historic events.
Students create a portfolio for a significant person in history to showcase this person’s contributions to the community and our life today.
Students connect with the past as they write a first-person account of events in history.
Students interview an artifact, or local monument, to discuss its experience during an historical period.
Students develop materials to promote a region or country they are studying and create a pitch to attract visitors to this location at a tourism trade show.
Students can create digital debates to demonstrate understanding of the views held by each side of an issue.
